* Hunger-related causes kill one child every five seconds, that is, almost 5.000.000 children die every year.
* Hundreds families hardly meet their most basic needs for food.
* There is nowhere to turn for help when a family that lives in a poor
country cannot grow enough food or earn enough money to buy food.
* A large portion of the population battles and often lacks the social
safety nets we enjoy, such as soup kitchens, food stamps, and job
training programs.
* According to the World Health Organization, poor nutrition and
calorie deficiencies cause nearly one in three children to die
prematurely or have disabilities or impairment.
* Every six seconds, a child dies of hunger. This latter now kills more
people every year than AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis even when the
last three are combined.
* Around 39.5 million people are living with HIV/AIDS in the world. Of
this figure, 63 percent live in Sub-Saharan Africa including Rwanda and
Democratic Republic of Congo. Children with HIV/AIDS in poor countries
do not have access to child-friendly medicine that would allow them to
live longer and healthier lives.
* Infants in poor countries are unable to get accurate testing until it
is often too late and this shows that most of the children who die
every year would have not even contracted HIV if their mothers would
have been treated.
* Street children are now counted between 100 million and 150 million worldwide.
How will you feel if you manage to understand that Orphans, Street and
working children often live in dreadful conditions and are victims of
all sorts of abuse? Many of them suffer from various diseases due to
these appalling conditions. Many of them have hardly been to school or
no longer go to school. If these children survived hunger, thirst,
dangerous and badly paid jobs, prostitution, sexual abuse, diseases,
exclusion, police harassment, problems with the law, imprisonment,
drugs that are destructive and shameful, and household jobs little more
than slavery, they would grow up to be either analphabet or illiterate
adults...
Did you know that Millions of Children did not enjoy their childhood
and youth? They are almost always left out of government budgets and
only social welfare organizations, religious institutions and
individuals try to satisfy their basic needs: food, shelter, clothing,
health care, legal assistance, sanitation, protection against violence,
undeserved repression, and the various abuses practiced in the name of
the law. A bigger problem for their future is that they do not have
easy access to school. And yet, education is an individual right that
all nations recognize
Did you know that there are 210 million of orphans worldwide?
Our Organization has created a center in Gisenyi/ (Rwanda )and in
Bunagana/( DRC), where, together with volunteers and people with good
heart, we can motivate the smile of the kids , give hope to hopeless
children, give them joy which they didn’t get in their childhood and
much more.
